The winter’s hottest destination is South Beach, a luxurious playground for the rich and famous. Scott Conant, Todd English, Robbin Haas, François Payard, Jonathan Waxman and others top chefs, along with top vintners join members of the Florida Marlins, Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers and Miami Heat teams as they take to the historic Biltmore Hotel’s par-71 championship golf course. Appearing over the weekend in the KitchenAid Demonstration Tent will be Food Network chefs Emeril Lagasse, Alton Brown, Tyler Florence and Rachael Ray, to name just a few of the scheduled all-stars, while at every turn the tastes of the good life will flow freely. Between samples of haute cuisine, top-shelf wines and spirits—including sips from featured winery Beringer Blass Wine Estates—in the Target Grand Tasting Tent, visit with TV hosts Andrea Immer in the Fine Living Network Pavilion or check out all manner of kitchen gadgets, the newest cookbooks, Festival merchandise and more. Alternatively, sharpen your skills with an informative cocktail clinic or relax in the Bailey’s Courtyard.
Saturday’s Grand Tasting brings together representatives of some 150 of the world’s finest wines, spirits and bottled waters as they offer generous sips of their precious wares while Barilla, the Italian food company, brings the best of Italian gastronomy all the way from Parma, Italy, as they prepare authentic dishes from various regions throughout Italy.
