Let’s face it – sushi master classes aren’t exactly a novel concept. But a sushi master class curated by David Grutman?! Pass the chopsticks, please. We know that the hospitality mogul isn’t a sushi chef (or even Japanese for that matter) BUT as is the case with all of his restaurants, taste – both in flavor and in presentation – is of paramount importance. And that’s exactly what we’re after at this exclusive SOBEWFF® class and lunch hosted by Gekkō Miami, the moody jewel-toned Japanese-inspired steakhouse and lounge in Brickell that Grutman opened with GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist Bad Bunny earlier this year. Gekkō – Japanese for “moonlight” – will set the perfect vibey atmosphere for learning how to make the restaurant’s eye-catching sushi at home. At this interactive class and lunch, you’ll master the art of prepping, filling, rolling, plating and serving the most incredible sushi inventions, after which you’ll close out the afternoon with a sumptuous lunch that puts your skills to the ultimate test – taste!
