TASTING NOTES ON SPIRITS

Cardenal Mendoza Solera Gran Reserva Brandy
First produced in 1887 in Jerez, Spain. Cardenal Mendoza is among the finest of the Spanish brandies, aged for an average of 15-17 years, using the traditional solera system. Cardenal Mendoza is recognized worldwide for its distinguished taste & unique package. Cardenal Mendoza Solera Gran Reserva Brandy is made from a selection of the finest distilled Holandas, or wine spirits, which are aged using the traditional “solera y criaderas” system. The casks used to age Cardenal Mendoza, which are previously treated with oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry, make up one of the largest Solera Gran Reserva ageing cellars. Ageing 15+ years; appearance dark mahogany, luminous, transparent, gleaming; aroma round, clean, elegant, reminders of wine, distinguished, with hints of raisins and plums.

Pusser’s Rum Classic “Blue Label”
Pusser's rum is a world-class, award-winning dark rum. The blend originates from stills in Trinidad and Guyana, heavily influenced by the wooden pot still that was the signature of the royal navy during the days of the daily tot. The daily tot tradition (rum ration served on board navy ships) ended on July 31, 1970. Pusser’s rum is rich and aromatic with a full bodied, versatile flavor and complex nose.

Ron Barceló Imperial
Barceló rum is recognized around the world as the leading premium rum from the Dominican Republic. Made with great care by the Barceló family since 1930. Barceló rum is uniquely different from other Dominican rums because it is made from the fermented juice of the sugarcane and not from molasses. The result is a smoother, more well-rounded taste. This is evident in the range of exceptional rums offered by Barceló. Ron Barceló imperial is a blend of rums, aged in ex-bourbon casks, ranging in age up to 10 years. A full-bodied rum with hints of toffee, roasted nut, spice and vanilla and twice chosen “the best rum in the world” by the beverage testing institute. It is the first rum to achieve the rating of 97 out of 100. A super-premium sipping rum that is ideal for consuming straight or on the rocks.
