Oyster lovers rejoice! The Festival’s celebration of this briny delicacy has returned for its annual SOBEWFF® voyage – this time, with Food Network favorite Tyler Florence at the helm! Join the celebrated television personality and cookbook author as he and a dozen other gifted chefs from around the country present their tastiest iterations of this seaside classic. Whether served ice cold on the half shell, chargrilled and sizzling in garlic butter, or fried to golden perfection – this walkaround tasting will showcase every possible preparation, complete with refreshing Oyster Bay wines and ice-cold cocktails to complement each salty bite. Nikki Beach will set the scene for a perfect sun-soaked afternoon that gives this perennial hors d'oeuvre the starring role it deserves.
All net proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in all aspects, including Festival planning, logistics and overall execution.
