Alexander Diaz III
My name is Alexander Diaz. I was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It was there that my interest in the culinary world began. Shadowing my Father in the restaurant as a young adult, would’ve been a punishment for some, but for me, it was a dream and desire to work alongside chefs like my father. I had many great mentors along my journey. From amazing women like my Mother and Grandmother to incredibly talented Chefs like Jamie McFadden and Chef Shuji-Hiyakawa.
In 2019 my Mom and her amazing wife helped my dream come true and we opened Alex’s Fresh Kitchen in Casselberry FL. The restaurant brought people from all over and before I knew it the restaurant was nominated for one of the best awards we have ever won. We won best Burger of Orlando in Orlando weekly of 2020 after showcasing The Mamba® Burger. The tribute burger to the late Kobe Bryant brought people from all over Florida to Casselberry as the world mourned Kobe, we also honored him. The Mamba® Burger changed everything for Alex’s Fresh Kitchen because it challenged our initial approach to healthy food. The Mamba® Burger put us on the map! It has felt like a rollercoaster since. We have acquired the awards of Best Business Enterprise of the year in 2021, we were placed honorable mention in Space coast Battle Bros, we won 3rd place in both Best Restaurant in Casselberry and best gluten free restaurant in 2022 and 2023 Best of Orlando. We will be attending Miami- South Beach food festival event for the second year in 2024. I went on the show Blind Kitchen in October of 2023 and won. Most of all I have grown so much as a leader and business owner as my chefs bravely work beside me on this rollercoaster.
I hope to continue to grow as a leader, as a chef and as a person. I aspire to be able to move to a bigger restaurant that can contain and showcase all the growth we have made over the last few years. I’m so eager to one day, have the opportunity to give back to the community that helped build us!
