Corey Rice
Since 2016, Chef Corey has been known for his performances on MasterChef Season 7 and most recently, the Food Network hit show Chopped Season 51 Episode 2, where he represented the Chicago south side community of West Englewood. Since his appearance, Chef Corey Rice has performed live cooking demonstrations at the Taste of Chicago’s Lifeway Foods Taste Kitchen, Chicago Gourmet, SOBE Food and Wine Festival, Rib Fest Chicago, and the Black Women’s Expo. Chef Corey has also helped reinvent, open, or provide Executive Chef services to several small business restaurants in Chicago, e.g., “Eleven/Eleven West Loop Chicago, Bar22 South Loop, Bracket Room UIC Village, BBQ Supply Hyde Park, The Bud Long Hot Chicken Hyde Park, and The Entrance Bar and Grill Harvey Illinois,” and is now Executive Chef of The Freehand Hotel Broken Shaker Restaurant Chicago. Chef Corey Rice is the personal chef for several known personalities, e.g., REL Carter, Radio FM Big 95.5, WGCI 107.5, Grammy winner DJ Kid Capri, legendary radio personality Ramonski Love, Leon Rodgers, as well as segments on many television networks, such as Fox News, WGNTV Midday News, WCIU Jam Show, News Nation, and Food and Beverage Magazine’s April 2019 Special Edition. With all of this, nothing has been worth more than working with the community of Chicago and small nonprofits that help our urban youth. Since his venture with Chef Life, Chef Corey has been blessed to work with a program called the Monster Education Foundation, which establishes a college savings fund for urban students starting in the 6th grade.
