Get to know the pilot & the journey to becoming…
DJ/artist who fell in love with the craft at the age of 12. His uncle took him under his wing while being one of the biggest household name deejays out of Atlanta, GA after his father got in some legal trouble and showed a positive hustle that soon became a first love. DJ Fly Guy’s motto is simply do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life and that’s just what has driven his success.
Starting out at a local, family owned skating rink at age 12, Fly quickly began to pick up traction in the music scene meeting people like JD, Da Brat, Pretty Ricky, Bow Wow, Soulja Boy, Lil Sammy, Tatyana Ali, Tity Boy (now known as 2 Chainz) and much more before the age of 15. By the time he was 16 he was already deejaying for the corporate world with DTLR & held residency in some of Atlanta’s premier night clubs (club frequency, primetime, obsessions, ritz 2) by 17 he was touring with artists and more. Along with his own dj tours where he uses mixing styles from edm, hip hop, old school, r&b, house and electronic, jazz, he’s become internationally loved.
To give a little insight about Fly Guy & what it is he does, more up to date he has deejayed for Roscoe Dash for 5 years up until 2016 when he started spending more of his time in Atlanta at Hot 107.9, Durttyboyz bringing them more formulated mixtapes, has deejayed with Young Thug, Future, Rich the Kid, 24hrs, August Alsina, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Dj Drama, Lotto Savage, 21 Savage, Scotty ATL, Dorrough Music, Chris Webby, Trev Rich, Kris Kelli, and Block (Bad Boy South/MMG)
He’s broken artist in the music industry such as future back in ’09, que – Young Nigga ft. Migos, Yung Tone – No Cuffin ’10, Young Thug – Eww, OG Maco – U Guessed It, Gunna – sold out dates and Hashanni Dutxh – Jerry West (The Clutch) and much more.
At 29 years old you have to consider him nothing less than a pioneer making a name for himself and of course an artist in his path on the way.
