Fernando Salazar
Chef Fernando Salazar’s passion for food led him into the culinary world at a young age. While studying at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school, Salazar simultaneously explored Miami’s burgeoning culinary scene, developing his own unique style and flair. Working alongside chefs in Miami’s culinary melting pot, Salazar gained proficiency in Peruvian, American and International cuisines. As Partner and Chef of a much-lauded Peruvian concept, went onto lead and manage various restaurants at the corporate level including Darwin’s on 4th, Pisco Y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar, Dr. Limon, Bulla Gastrobar, and Ceviche 105. Salazar’s work in the kitchen has landed him opportunities to work for high profile celebrities like ACDC, Led Zeppelin and Luis Fonsi. Describing himself as a bit of a rebel, Salazar’s culinary curiosity has led him to alter the very idea of a dish, challenging its concept and perception. His culinary philosophy and passion reflects the growing trend towards a healthier and down-to-earth lifestyle of a young chef while meeting the expectations of modern world cuisines. In 2021, Chef Fernando and business partner/lifelong friend Andres Marmolejos created the region’s first and only Peruvian Prime steakhouse in Miami’s Pinecrest neighborhood. The restaurant is sleek and welcoming, straddling the line elegantly between fine dining and, in keeping with its geographic coordinates, family friendly. Chef Fernando parlayed a background in butchery into a one-of-a-kind take on the classic steakhouse featuring only the highest quality USDA Prime beef, known for the ideal ratio of marbling, fattiness and flavor.
