Frankie E Olivieri
Frankie E. Olivieri is the owner of Pat’s King of Steaks—the Philly institution known to be the inventor of the cheesesteak. Frankie’s great-uncle Pat Olivieri opened Pat’s in 1930. As the legend goes, Pat wanted something different for lunch, so he decided to make a sandwich of chopped steak and onions on a crusty roll and gave half to a cab driver who frequented his stand. And so, the birth of the Philly Steak sandwich! The restaurant has been feeding celebrities, tourists, and locals alike 24/7 for almost 100 years.
Dubbed the “king of steaks,” Frankie is also a trained chef and certified pizzaiolo. He also runs a foundation called Spread the Wiz, whose goal is to provide nutritional education for children and adults alike to promote better eating habits through artistic and cooking demonstrations.
