Garmanie Samuels
Garmanie Samuels was born December 04, 1986 in Liberia. His family relocated to United States in the early 1990`s. Chef Samuels new home as a child was In the state of New Jersey. While growing up he always knew he wanted to be a chef. He comes from a large family with over six siblings and he also have three children and a Wife.
Shortly after completing his high school education, he was accepted to Johnson & Wales University in North Miami where he completed his studies in the Culinary Program. During his college years Chef Samuels gained a lot of cooking experience from his internship in Alaska as well as working in different types of restaurants from Italian to American cuisine. Being from Africa he always knew how to make his entrees taste just like home using different herbs and seasoning he seen his family use throughout his childhood.
After completing college Chef Samuels gained employment at Jackson Soul Food where he is the Executive Chef along with the Owner Shirlene Ingraham. He always pushed to better recipes and add new innovative dishes and signature sauces such as the Red Glaze sauce to the menu. Chef Samuels has been with Jackson Soul Food for over a decade and has had a major part in helping the business grow and improve. Chef Samuels always strive to show his love for people through cooking from his soul and letting the world experience what Soul Food should really taste like.
