Jennifer Behar
Jennifer Behar started her career in advertising and marketing. After college at Boston University, she moved to New York City and worked as an advertising account executive on the Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo account and helped to launch Acuvue disposable contact lenses in 26 countries.
In 2005, Jennifer was a single mother often cooking with her young daughter Stephanie and she started Jennifer’s Homemade out of her home kitchen.
Jennifer’s Homemade was born out of her passion for baking and the inspiration to create delicious products with integrity and quality. Her breadsticks and flatbread are made from scratch with only the finest natural ingredients. She uses extra virgin olive oil, kosher salt and fresh rosemary in her recipes. Everything is always vegan, non-GMO and all natural.
In 2007, Jennifer joined the board of directors for Feeding South Florida, a member of Feeding America, and she served on the board for 6 years and was Vice President of the board for 2 of those years.
Jennifer’s Homemade has been featured in Food & Wine and Gourmet Magazines, The New York Times, The Miami Herald, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on CNN, National Public Radio, an American Express OPEN small business print advertising campaign and Jennifer baked with Martha Stewart on MARTHA, The Martha Stewart Show.
