Randy Alonso
Born and raised in Miami, Randy Alonso is the Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director for Lost Boy & Co. Randy holds more than 15 years of business experience, previously managing his family’s three-generation department store, La Época, founded in 1885 in Havana, Cuba, and1965 in Miami, Florida. With a formal education in Civil & Architectural Engineering, Randy found his niche, taking a unique approach to hospitality through philosophies of the physical structure and a strong focus on interior design. He holds a deep appreciation for the preservation of historic properties and neighborhoods.
In 2015, Randy opened Lost Boy Dry Goods, as a boutique denim shop Downtown. When the retail landscape changed in 2016, Randy who had toyed with the idea of owning a bar, decided to jump into hospitality but didn’t know where to begin. Enter Chris Hudnall. As equal partners, the two converted the denim shop into a neighborhood bar. The new opening was success and in 2018, the pub was ranked Best New Bar by Miami New Times. With the success of Lost Boy Dry Goods, Randy and Chris saw an opportunity for growth into the restaurant industry. In 2021, the two opened Tropezon, their first culinary concept, a gin bar and Andalusian inspired restaurant tucked in the historic corridors of Espanola Way.
Now in 2022, Chris Hudnall and Randy Alonso serve as the co-founders of Lost Boy & Co., Miami’s beloved hospitality group, operating a portfolio of culinary concepts including Lost Boy Dry Goods, Tropezon, Fox’s Lounge, Mayfair Grill, and Sipsip. The group continues to expand with several new openings planned for 2022-2023. These include a new Miami Beach restaurant and neighborhood bar, and a large-scale culinary concept in Austin, Texas.
