Description
Join us at the Festival’s headquarter hotel, Loews Miami Beach, as we honor two icons alongside some of the hospitality industry’s biggest and brightest stars! Emceed by 2018 Tribute Dinner honoree Bobby Flay, this year’s star-studded celebration will toast award-winning chef, cookbook author, and television personality Alex Guarnaschelli; and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard, Alexandre Ricard. Among the evening's highlights will be The Muse Collection Live Auction led by celebrity auctioneer, Food Network star Jeff Mauro, featuring once-in-a-lifetime travel and dining experiences available for bidding. Don’t forget to also bid on luxurious travel and unique items and experiences in the Protravel International Silent Auction.
From her early days cooking under some of France’s most revered chefs (including Guy Savoy at his eponymous three-star restaurant) to her longtime position as Executive Chef of Butter Restaurant in New York City, Alex Guarnaschelli has built a career on the foundation of excellence. With her signature wit and humor, she has also claimed her rightful spot as one of television’s most popular culinary stars on Food Network shows such as “Iron Chef,” “Chopped,” and “Supermarket Stakeout,” and has authored three cookbooks, including the New York Times bestseller, “Old-School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned to Cook.”
A world-renowned businessman and the grandson of Pernod Ricard founder Paul Ricard, Alexandre Ricard is no stranger to stardom either. Upon graduating from the Wharton School of Business and of the University of Pennsylvania, he spent time honing his skills outside the family business before finally joining the Pernod Ricard group in 2003. Since being appointed Chairman & CEO in 2015, he has continued to take the organization – and its astounding 240 brands – to new heights, cementing its legacy as a global leader in the wine and spirits industry.
For this once-in-a-lifetime experience, a sensational menu will be prepared by Alex's famous chef friends, expertly paired with some of the finest wines from the Pernod Ricard portfolio.
All net proceeds from the Festival benefit the students of the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who assist Festival organizers in all aspects, including Festival planning, logistics and overall execution.
