Eric Adjepong
As a first-generation Ghanaian American born and raised in New York City, Eric sources the flavors and influences in his cooking from many of the West African dishes he grew up eating. Chef Eric has cooked in several Michelin-starred restaurants in New York after graduating with degrees in culinary arts and nutrition from Johnson & Wales, one of the country’s premiere culinary universities. He also holds a Master of Public Health in International Public Health Nutrition from the University of Westminster in London. He is busy filming for Top Chef and Food Network, appearing as a judge on shows like Chopped, Guy’s Grocery Games, Supermarket Stakeout, and more. On top of partnering up with popular West-African frozen food line AYO Foods, he is also penning his first cookbook with Clarkson Potter. Eric has also paired up with Penguin Workshop to write a kids book that explores the culinary storylines of the African diaspora, peppered with kid-friendly recipes and visuals. Most recently, you can see Eric judging on The Great Soul Food Cook-Off, hosting Food Network’s Alex vs. America, and competing on the network’s top show Tournament of Champions.
