Donaven Jackson
Jackson Bros Ice cream was established in 2007 under the ownership of Donaven Jackson. Seventeen years ago, Mr. Jackson started the business with a single ice cream truck and over the years has expanded the business that is now renown for its soul food ice cream line. Although Jackson Bros has continued to expand over the years to amass food connoisseurs from Key West to West Palm Beach, Overtown has been the heart and soul of Jackson Bros. With all of the rich African American culture and history in the Overtown Community, Mr. Jackson saw the opportunity to express the a love for the blackness through the taste palate. He created flavors to appeal to the rich history of soul food that is the bread and butter of togetherness in the black community which is Overtown. Seventeen years ago when Mr. Jackson started Jackson Bros he started out by selling manufactured ice creram in packaging. Over the years, he saw a need for quality products free of additives and harmful ingredients. He worked tirelessly to create a line of products that would bring healthier options that did not compromise flavor. Today Mr. Jackson has amassed a cult like following in the Overtown Community and customers who travel across the country to taste his savory offerings such as as his hand churned banana pudding ice cream, irresistable red velvet cheesecake ice cream and delectable strawberry corn bread ice cream flavors to name a few. Every flavor is hand churned with only the highest quality ingredients free of harsh chemicals. Jackson Bros aims to continue to bring only the most superior quality tantalizing flavors to our community to reimagine the way we see desserts.
