My parents migrated from Cuba to Miami to avoid the communist regime in the 1980’s and have raised my sisters and I with strong convictions and morals. They taught us to work hard and have ambitious dreams as this was the land of liberty. My father took risks opening a small business and at a young age I was learning his ways. Starting from liquor stores and small cafeterias the art of cooking lured me in. The traditional roasting pigs at our big Cuban family parties to learning the intricacies of making an arroz con pollo my interest grew more and more as did my creativity. Opening our family restaurant has been the biggest blessing and manifestation of freedom that my parents longed for. Albeit with its challenges, this business has opened the doors to fruitful relationships and endless opportunities and for that I am grateful to be able to share my passion with my people in Hialeah. I hope the love I pour into every dish is savored.
