La Catrina was established in November 2020 in Kendall, Florida, emerging in the aftermath of the pandemic. We quickly earned a local reputation for our Taco Tuesday special featuring $2 tacos. Just nine months after opening, we were honored with the title of *Miami’s Best Tacos* in the 2021 New Times Best of Reader’s Choice, a distinction we proudly reclaimed in 2023.
Our specialty is authentic Birria Tacos, complemented by other premium meat options like Carne Asada and Ribeye. Our diverse menu includes tacos, mulitas, our signature Pizzadilla, esquites, and more.
As a family-owned business, founded by a husband-and-wife duo, La Catrina was inspired by their love of Birria tacos discovered on vacation. Driven by a passion to share this culinary experience, we are dedicated to bringing the vibrant flavors and cultural richness that we had to Kendall.
