Chef Tom Jackson is a Kansas native, born and raised in Wichita. He attended Oregon Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon and studied both Culinary Arts as well as Baking and Pastry while working as a cook in a variety of restaurants.
After culinary school he worked as a bread baker and pastry chef at the renowned Ken’s Artisan Bakery in northwest Portland, and spent more than four years honing his skills under James Beard Award winning chef and owner Ken Forkish.
For the past 10 years Chef Tom has been leading outdoor cooking and barbecue classes at All Things Barbecue in Wichita. You can also find him in front of the camera for a bi-weekly cooking series on YouTube.
