Tony Reyes brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, having mastered every aspect of restaurant operations. His career began as a host and evolved through a variety of roles including server, bartender, trainer, expo, fry cook, line cook, grill cook, and head chef. Through dedication and a strong work ethic, Tony advanced into leadership positions, serving as Server Manager, Bar Manager, Assistant General Manager, and ultimately General Manager.
Tony’s true passion, however, has always been in the kitchen — specifically in the art of crafting authentic smoked barbecue. Guided by that passion, he took the next step in his culinary journey and founded Woody’s Backyard Grill, a place where his vision for quality food, community, and hospitality could come to life.
His commitment to excellence and creativity in the pit have earned him notable recognition, including 1st Place in the Brisket Competition and 1st Place Overall at the Berry Farm BBQ Showdown Competition.
Today, Tony continues to lead Woody’s Backyard Grill with the same hands-on dedication and passion that have defined his career — ensuring every guest experiences the warmth, flavor, and authenticity that make Woody’s a true backyard tradition.
