Description
SOBEWFF® is turning 25, and the celebration kicks off where it has always shined the brightest: under the iconic white tents of the Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village hosted by Sofia and Manolo Vergara, featuring Publix Culinary Demonstrations sponsored by Sub-Zero Group Southeast.
This year, we’re rolling out the red carpet for multi–Emmy-nominated actress and Colombian-born Sofia Vergara, who captivated audiences with her acclaimed role in Griselda, alongside her son Manolo Vergara, the visionary behind TOMA — the buzzed-about empanada brand transforming this comfort classic into a gourmet obsession. In addition to hosting, Sofia will spotlight another passion project close to her Colombian roots: ¡Dios Mío! Coffee, her line of 100% Colombian coffee created in partnership with women coffee growers across Colombia. The brand celebrates bold flavor and female empowerment, offering guests a taste of the authentic, vibrant coffee culture that inspires her.
Adding to the excitement, global hip-hop icon Ja Rule will take the stage on Saturday with a live performance guaranteed to electrify the shoreline. The award-winning musician, actor, and entrepreneur is one of the genre’s most influential voices, boasting a lineup of Billboard Hot 100 hits—including the #1 anthem “Always on Time” featuring Ashanti. With accolades spanning The Source Awards, NAACP Image Awards, BET Awards, and the MTV VMAs, plus songwriting credits for legends like Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, and Fat Joe, Ja Rule stands as a true cultural trailblazer.
SOBEWFF® will once again partner with Only in Dade to present Miami Mixtape: Made in Miami — a cultural activation celebrating the people, sounds, and stories that made Miami iconic. Inspired by NIGHTLIFE EMPIRE – the movie, it brings the city’s music history to life through immersive visuals and a dedicated activation space guests can explore throughout the afternoon.
Across three full blocks of beachfront, you’ll discover plenty to savor: vibey live music, dynamic brand activations from innovative Festival partners, and under-the-radar gourmet products from a curated lineup of exhibitors. And of course, an all-star cast of chefs and Food Network personalities—rising talents and longtime fan favorites—will hit the beach to cook signature dishes at the interactive Publix Culinary Demonstrations sponsored by Sub-Zero Group Southeast.
Before the afternoon winds down in a swirl of sun, sips, and celebration, be sure to soak in the Grand Tasting Village’s glistening Atlantic backdrop. One look, and you’ll remember (or quickly realize) that paradise has most certainly been found.
