Santo Agnello
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, chef Santo Agnello was raised on the authentic Italian flavors his Sicilian nonna and mother cooked in their basement kitchen for the family. He now brings those flavors and passion for Italian cooking to Miami Beach’s newest restaurant, Casa Isola, as Executive Chef and culinary partner alongside Chef Jose Mendin. Now as Mendin’s partner, Agnello runs the kitchen at Casa Isola, which encourages a traditional Italian dining format of antipasti, macaroni, secondi and dessert. Agnello infuses homegrown family spirit into the menu with a signature Sunday Sauce that is available daily. His promise is to create fresh and modern, ingredient-driven dishes that honor the classic Italian comforts the learned from his nonna.
